Climbed with Kyle. We started around 3pm.
Plan B
The plan was Rewritten (5.7+, 4 pitches). We bailed halfway up the approach. Between my cold, still adjusting to altitude, and the vert, it was too much. I was sneezing a bunch; either my allergies were acting up or the viral infection had turned into a bacterial sinus infection. We switched to West Buttress (5.9+ PG-13, 4 pitches, 300 ft).
Pitches
- P1 (Kyle led): cool, exposed traverse into a finger crack with 3 pitons. I fell retrieving gear.
- P2 (Kyle led): left-facing off-width crack under a flake. I followed and had to get yarded up. Super weird pitch.
- P3 (Kyle led): relatively easy climbing.
- P4 (I led): super easy climbing.

Descent
Easy walk off, 15 minutes max.
